The Lebanese University supports, since several years, various scientific research developments. In this scope, the Doctoral School of Science and Technology DSST implemented three multidisciplinary platforms in specific research topics that meet the socio-economic needs and the scientific competencies of researchers in the Lebanese University. Many activities have been accomplished at the DSST to ensure development of new academic programs directly related to research in many scientific and technological fields. The platform AZM at the DSST was established to develop research in biotechnology and its applications, including the Technology of Industrial Medical Systems (TIMS), medical imaging, bioinformatics and biomechanics. This platform is designated as an important interactive area for students to be enrolled in a PhD and scientific research programs as well as to train them on different advanced techniques (chromatography LC-MS-MS, spectroscopy…). It works on developing different activities to ensure diffusion of latest information and scientific findings.
